"Racconto alla strega no. 1" is a striking example of Italian artist Pietro Consagra's work from the early 1960s. The sculpture is a large, flat, rectangular sheet of metal, seemingly randomly punctured by a series of rods which support the piece. The composition is a complex interplay of lines, shapes, and textures, with a dominant white surface that is juxtaposed with rust-colored, black, and grey metallic tones. This juxtaposition creates a sense of both chaos and balance, as the elements are carefully placed in a visually dynamic composition.
