Dragan Ilić Di Vogo made "Glasovi – Voices" at an unknown date, but maybe we can find some clues about that in the work itself. The color palette feels earthy, yet ethereal, like a dream half-remembered, and it's got me thinking about how we construct meaning through process. Look at the texture, how the paint seems to both build up and dissolve, especially around the face in the background. It’s as if the artist is inviting us to see the layers, the history of the making. My eye is drawn to the way the birds are rendered - their forms are so solid, almost hyper-real, in contrast to the more fluid handling of the human figures. Those birds feel like messengers, perched between worlds. This piece reminds me of the dreamlike quality in some of Odilon Redon's work, that same sense of floating between reality and reverie. Art is a conversation, an echo through time, and it's always more interesting when it leaves room for us to join in.
