This cast iron still bank, "Globe Bank", was created by the Enterprise Manufacturing Company in 1875. The bank is shaped like a globe with a golden eagle perched on top and depicts a patriotic scene with a woman and children. Its red base has the inscription “Save the Pennies” on its bottom. This small, three-dimensional piece was likely used by children to save money during the late nineteenth century. The Minneapolis Institute of Art is home to this charming piece.
