This engraving by the Flemish artist Hieronymus Wierix depicts the Lord's Prayer, a central Christian prayer. The scene is divided into two parts: Heaven and Earth. Above, God the Father and Christ are depicted in glory, surrounded by angels. Below, a multitude of people kneel in prayer, illustrating the importance of this prayer in Christian life. This engraving, created between 1569 and 1573, is part of a larger series of engravings depicting the Lord's Prayer. It is now held in the Rijksmuseum.
