This silver medal, created by Georg Wilhelm Vestner in 1711, commemorates the coronation of Charles VI as Holy Roman Emperor and the retaking of Cardona from the Spanish. The obverse features a profile portrait of Charles VI in ornate regalia, while the reverse depicts the emperor receiving a crown from a personification of Victory, while another figure representing the city of Cardona kneels before him. The medal is a small but intricate example of Baroque medallic art, reflecting the political events and symbolism of the time.
