"Interieur met man die godsdienstles geeft" (Interior with a man giving religious instruction) is an 1850 engraving by Dutch artist Jan Baptist Tetar van Elven. The artwork depicts a scene of religious instruction taking place in a domestic setting. A man, possibly a priest or teacher, sits at a table with an open book, instructing two women seated opposite him. This work, now part of the Rijksmuseum collection, demonstrates the importance of religious education in 19th-century Dutch society and offers a glimpse into the interior spaces and everyday lives of the period.
