"Ceres" is an etching by Danish artist Christian David Gebauer, created in 1821. The print depicts a dog, likely a hunting breed, standing in a field. The dog is shown in profile, facing left, with its head slightly tilted. Gebauer was known for his meticulous attention to detail and the lifelike portrayal of his subjects. This print is a fine example of Gebauer's skill in depicting animals with naturalism and precision. The artwork is currently part of the collection of the Statens Museum for Kunst, Copenhagen.
