This photograph of Jeugdstormers marching through a wood, was taken by the NSB. I guess it's part of a bigger project, a way to document their activities, a historical record of sorts. The marchers are captured amidst the imposing presence of trees, their solemn march resonating with echoes of the past. The scene evokes a sense of order, but beneath the surface lies a darkness. I find myself wondering what these young people are thinking, what's going through their heads as they participate in something so regimented, so potentially dangerous. The drums that they are playing, the rhythm to which they march, seem like a way to make a mark in history, one which continues to reverberate through our present. Photography has the power to capture moments in time, offering glimpses into the human experience. But it also reminds us of the complexities of history, where simple images can hold layers of meaning, prompting reflection and dialogue.
