Editor: This is an Untitled work by Donald Judd. It’s hard to place in time, and its spare lines depicting a box-like form give me a sense of industrial coldness. What do you see in this piece? Curator: Judd's works challenge the art world's conventions. The "box" reflects his critique of painting's illusionism. His move towards three-dimensional objects was a social statement, defying traditional art hierarchies. Editor: So, the simplicity is a kind of rebellion? Curator: Precisely. It questions the role of art institutions and the commodification of art itself, asking: Who decides what is art, and why? Editor: I never thought of it that way. It's much more than just a box. Curator: Indeed. Judd's art invites us to reconsider art's purpose in society.
