Saucer c. 18th century

This 18th century, anonymous, white and purple glass "Saucer" is a stunning example of the artistry of glassblowing. With a swirl pattern reminiscent of marbling, it is a unique and intricate work of art. The piece is currently housed in the Minneapolis Institute of Art. The small scale of the "Saucer" suggests it may have been used for decorative purposes.
