Editor: Ian Tyson's "The Graves 2" is quite striking; the dark background really makes the little squares of color pop. I'm drawn to the sense of mystery. What do you see in this piece? Curator: I see a whisper of memory, like faded photographs viewed through a screen. Each square a little world, hinting at stories untold. Do you feel a sense of order, or is it more chaotic? Editor: I think it’s both, the grid gives it structure, but the contents of each square feel so random. Curator: Exactly! That tension, that controlled chaos, is where the magic lies. It’s like life itself, isn’t it? Structure and surprise intertwined. Gives you pause, doesn't it? Editor: It definitely does! I'll never look at a grid the same way again.
