Editor: So this is a pencil drawing from the Tate Collection, made by Prince Hoare. It's a woman in profile, and she looks a little bit like she's floating. What do you make of it? Curator: It reminds me of a whisper, a fleeting thought captured on paper. The delicacy of the lines, the almost ethereal quality, suggest a dreamlike state. Perhaps Hoare was exploring the ephemeral nature of beauty, or maybe just sketching a figment of his imagination. Do you feel like you could almost breathe life into her? Editor: I do! Thanks. That's a lovely way to think about it. Curator: Sometimes art invites us into collaboration with the artist, to finish the story they began. What do you think she's dreaming about?
