Curator: Standing before us is "Head Blue/Yellow" by William Turnbull. Editor: My first thought? It feels like a memory fragmenting. Curator: Precisely! The splattered colors, the way they coalesce into a vague human form... Turnbull was deeply interested in primal forms, in the symbolic power of ancient sculpture. Editor: Look at the blue—it's almost funereal, yet the yellow sparks life. It's an odd tension. Curator: The head as a vessel, perhaps? A container for thought, emotion—or even just the echoes of ancestors. Editor: Interesting… a vessel filled with blue melancholy and fleeting yellow joys. I feel that. Curator: Indeed. A poignant reflection on being. Editor: Absolutely, Turnbull gives us something enduring to consider.
