"Skaters on Pond Outside Town" is a pen and wash drawing by Dutch artist Allart van Everdingen (1621-1675). It depicts a lively winter scene with figures skating on a frozen pond outside of a Dutch village. Van Everdingen is known for his landscapes and his ability to capture the atmosphere of nature, and this drawing is a fine example of his work. The work is currently housed in the collection of The Art Institute of Chicago.
