‘Sigla VI’ was created by Pablo Palazuelo, presenting us with an abstract geometrical composition. A motif of nested, polygonal forms dominates the work, echoing the ancient symbol of the labyrinth or the layers of the cosmos. The layering effect in 'Sigla VI' is strongly reminiscent of the motif of the labyrinth as seen in Cretan art. The labyrinth, with its convoluted paths, represents not only physical space but also the complex journey of life, transformation, and the search for truth. Think of Theseus navigating the labyrinth, guided by Ariadne's thread, a symbolic journey into the self. This journey appears in diverse traditions, from the spiritual quests of Sufi mystics to the psychoanalytic explorations of the self. This echoes the individual’s journey through the maze of the mind. Such symbols, charged with collective memory and emotional power, transcend mere representation, engaging viewers on a deeply subconscious level. They reappear, evolve, and take on new meanings, demonstrating the non-linear progression of visual culture.
