"Prøveplade: Nøgen kvinde fra ryggen, stående" (1901) is a black and white etching by Danish artist Frans Schwartz (1850-1917), currently housed at SMK - Statens Museum for Kunst. This small-scale work, measuring just 148mm x 108mm, depicts a nude female figure from behind, standing and seemingly about to step onto a bed. Schwartz's distinct style is evident in the detailed cross-hatching technique used to render the figure, creating a sense of both intimacy and vulnerability. The artwork is an example of Schwartz's exploration of the human form, a theme prominent throughout his artistic career.
