This study sheet by the Italian painter Ventura Salimbeni (1568-1613) is a collection of sketches exploring various figures and subjects. It features a detailed drawing of a bearded man’s head, done in ink and heightened with red chalk, and three angel heads, rendered in red chalk. The sheet's composition suggests a dynamic exploration of human anatomy and expression, typical of artists during the Renaissance. The study sheet is now part of the Städel Museum collection.
