"Othar og Gyrithe" is a drawing by Danish artist Lorenz Frølich (1820-1908) depicting a scene from Norse mythology. The drawing, completed in 1856, portrays the mythical king Othar offering his hand to Gyrithe, a Valkyrie, who sits atop a rock with her loyal dog. The peaceful landscape with grazing sheep adds to the romanticism of the scene. This drawing is a notable example of Frølich's Romantic style and interest in Norse mythology. It currently resides in the SMK - Statens Museum for Kunst.
