Wassily Kandinsky made 'Red Wall Destiny' with what looks like oil on canvas, and he was really going for it with the color, right? The surface is built up with these juicy marks, where the blues feel almost velvety against that bright, assertive red wall. I mean, look at the way the paint is applied; it's so physical, like he's wrestling with the stuff, pushing it around to create these forms that are both recognizable and totally out there. Check out the lower section: see how the colors blend and separate? It’s like the paint itself is alive, vibrating with energy. Kandinsky was all about making art that speaks to something deeper, and you can see him feeling his way through each piece. It makes me think of Hilma af Klint, another artist who was exploring abstraction as a way to capture something beyond the visible world. And like Klint, Kandinsky leaves plenty of room for us to bring our own stories and feelings to the work.
