"My Dream" (1883) is an etching by French artist Rodolphe Bresdin (1822-1885). The work depicts a fantastical scene of a city with a towering statue on a column and many ships on a river. Bresdin is known for his detailed and dreamlike imagery, often incorporating elements of the fantastic and grotesque. This artwork is an excellent example of his style and the use of etching in creating atmospheric depth and detail. The piece currently resides at the Art Institute of Chicago.
