This small, pear-shaped flagon, produced by the Chelsea Porcelain Manufactory between 1745 and 1758, is a beautiful example of 18th-century English porcelain. The flagon is decorated with a delicate landscape scene in the Chinese taste, featuring a mountain range, a river, and figures in traditional dress. The flagon is topped with a small bird figurine, which is also made of porcelain. The piece is now part of the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
