"Two Carps" is a ukiyo-e woodblock print by famed Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849). The print features two carps swimming in a blue, watery background, with the lower carp facing the viewer while the upper carp is in profile, its mouth open in a striking pose. The carps' scales are rendered with meticulous detail, showcasing Hokusai's mastery of woodblock printing techniques. The artist's signature and a red seal are visible in the lower left corner. This piece is now housed in the Guimet Museum in Paris.
