This 18th-century, anonymous, engraved, Dutch, drinking glass, known as a “kelkglas,” is decorated with the coat of arms of the Dutch Republic. This style of glass, with a tall, narrow bowl and a slender stem with a bulbous knop, was popular throughout the 17th and 18th centuries in the Netherlands. The glass was likely used for drinking wine, beer, or other alcoholic beverages and it can be found on display at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
