The "Spoon Holder" is a small, round, red glass container with a floral pattern. It is a piece of pressed glass from the late 19th century, created by the glassmaking firm Dalzell, Gilmore, and Leighton. The opaque red glass body of the container is decorated with white, raised floral motifs, providing a contrasting, three-dimensional pattern. This type of decorative glasswork, known as cameo glass, was popular in the Victorian era and remains a sought-after collectible today. The piece is currently located in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
