Rodrigo Franzao made this sculpture called 'Projection of a Deformed Circle' out of wire, patiently weaving a grid that seems to hover in the air. It’s like a window, but one that’s melting or breathing. I wonder what it was like to create it? Did he start with the grid, letting the rest unravel, or did he fight to contain a wild energy within that square? The wires themselves seem to have a life of their own, reaching downwards like roots or veins, defying the geometry above. There's a tension between order and chaos, control and release. This piece reminds me of Eva Hesse, who also played with repetition and organic forms, pushing the boundaries of sculpture. Artists are always in dialogue with each other, finding new ways to express the messy, beautiful reality of being human. It's never a fixed thing but always shifting.
