Chu Teh-Chun made "Le Voile des Illusions" with an approach that feels like capturing a fleeting moment. The way the colors blend and swirl, it's as if he’s trying to paint a feeling more than a scene. Looking closely, you see how the blues dominate, but they’re not alone. There are bursts of yellow and orange that create a sense of light. I love the way he lets the paint drip and run, especially in the lower part of the canvas, it feels like a controlled accident, each drip adding to the overall composition. The canvas has marks everywhere, yet the color pallet gives it some calm. Thinking about other artists, Joan Mitchell comes to mind, who used a similar kind of energetic brushwork, but in a very different emotional key. Ultimately, this piece reminds us that art is a conversation, a way of seeing and feeling that gets passed down and transformed over time.
