Editor: Nishimura Ryo's "Melting - Mixt" presents this incredible dance of white lines against a dark backdrop. I’m really struck by its almost spectral quality. How do you interpret this work? Curator: It feels like observing a dreamscape, doesn't it? A constant state of becoming and unbecoming, life and decay. I see connections to traditional ink wash paintings, yet pushed into a completely new dimension. Look at how the white seems to both emerge and dissolve. Does that suggest anything to you? Editor: Perhaps a sense of impermanence, the fleeting nature of form itself. Curator: Exactly! It makes you wonder, doesn't it, about the solid world around us and what's actually real. Editor: It certainly challenges perceptions. Curator: Indeed. It's a potent reminder that everything changes, melts, and reforms.
