Editor: This small etching by the British School features an elephant chasing a person. It feels frantic and a little comical, actually. What do you make of it? Curator: I love the energy! It's like a fever dream distilled into ink. The cross-hatching gives the elephant this wonderful, almost vibrating texture. The tiny human figure, desperately fleeing, amplifies the sense of scale and perhaps hints at vulnerability. Ever feel like that, dwarfed by some massive problem? Editor: All the time! So, is it just about feeling small? Curator: Perhaps. Or it could be a playful commentary on power dynamics, the unexpected chaos of life. What stories does it whisper to you? Editor: I guess it reminds me to keep running, metaphorically speaking, from whatever chases me. Thanks! Curator: And it reminds me that even the scariest monsters can look a little absurd in the right light.
