Editor: So, this is León Ferrari's "Footbridges," with no date listed, held at the Tate. It’s, well, it's definitely...detailed. All those tiny shapes! What do you make of it? Curator: It’s like a city plan viewed from a dizzying height, isn't it? Or perhaps a mind map of interconnected ideas. Ferrari often used abstraction to critique power structures. Do you see a hierarchy here, or just a chaotic jumble? Editor: I see more chaos, honestly. So, it’s abstract but political? Curator: Precisely! Ferrari challenges us to find order, or perhaps to question the very idea of order imposed from above. It's dense and thought-provoking, and, dare I say, a bit unsettling? Editor: Unsettling is right! I'll never look at city maps the same way. Curator: Nor I. Art changes us, doesn't it?
