Kinder Album made this untitled artwork with what looks like watercolour, and maybe some ink. I really admire the way this artist uses colour in a delicate, almost watery way. You know, the kind of colours that seep into each other creating these unexpected gradients, almost like memory. And the way the green bleeds into the blue of the water below, it's all very dreamy, a bit surreal. But it's not just about the colours, it’s also about the surfaces. The artist lets the paint do its thing, creating these translucent layers and textures that give the image a life of its own. The way the figures are rendered, with thin washes and delicate lines, reminds me a little of David Hockney's earlier work, in the sense that the artist is thinking about capturing a specific atmosphere, a feeling, rather than aiming for some kind of photorealistic representation. And that unicorn floaty? Art is definitely a conversation, it seems.
