Consider the labor involved in producing these goods, and their accessibility to a growing middle class. Does this read as aspirational or conformist to you? Editor: I guess both? It does feel kind of staged. I never thought about the labor before. Curator: Exactly! By examining the means of production and the social context, we gain a deeper understanding.
