Editor: Here we have Anneliese Hager's abstract work, "Broken Beams." It's a monochrome piece, and the stark contrast creates a really unsettling feeling for me. What do you make of it? Curator: Unsettling, yes! I see the chaos of a world dissolving, or perhaps being re-formed. The "beams" are fractured, like thoughts scattered, and the contrast makes it feel raw, visceral, almost like a dreamscape. Does it evoke any particular memories or emotions in you? Editor: It reminds me of trying to remember something important but it's just out of reach. Thanks, that was very insightful! Curator: My pleasure. It's a reminder that art speaks to the soul, and every soul hears a different song.
