Jerome Mesnager collaborated with Jef Aerosol, Mosko & co. to create this artwork. The dominant colours are a moody grey and white punctuated by accents of bright blue and red. It looks like a street art piece, the figures outlined with spray paint or stencils perhaps, with drips and runs adding to the urban feel. I wonder what it was like for these three artists to collaborate. How did they negotiate their different styles and ideas? What was the conversation like between them? There is a contrast between the heavy seated figures and the lightness of the flying birds. The seated figures are a study in opposites; one has the idea of flight above them, but the other has a descending arrow. Are they related or two sides of the same feeling? I imagine each mark carrying a weight of intention, with artists inspiring and challenging one another's vision. There is a conversation happening, as all art does, across time and space, inspiring new modes of expression and offering a space for reflection on the complexities of human experience.
