"Schaapherder met zijn kudde bij een schaapskooi" (Shepherd with his flock at a sheepfold) is a charcoal drawing on paper by Dutch artist Willem Witsen. This drawing, dated to between 1884 and 1887, is a preliminary study for a larger work. It depicts a shepherd with his sheep in front of a sheepfold, using loose and gestural lines to capture the movement of the figures and the atmosphere of the scene. Witsen's distinctive style is evident in the loose, expressive lines and the use of light and shadow, which give the drawing a sense of depth and movement. The drawing is currently housed in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
