Editor: This collage, "Improved Beans" by Sir Eduardo Paolozzi, is just a whirlwind of mid-century imagery. It kind of feels like stepping back into my grandma's kitchen, with a slightly surreal twist. What strikes you most about this piece? Curator: Oh, darling, it’s a feast for the eyes, isn't it? Paolozzi, bless his heart, was really playing with the idea of the modern world colliding with the everyday. I see a delightful dance between the domestic and the mass-produced, a commentary on post-war consumerism perhaps? It reminds me of a playful visual poem, don't you think? Editor: It is! I never considered it a poem but now I can't unsee it. Thanks!
