"Verschillende taferelen" (Various Scenes) is a series of six illustrations created by R.T. Powney between 1866 and 1871. Printed on a single sheet of paper, the scenes depict various vignettes of daily life, including a family by a house, a child being led by a man carrying a lantern, and two men interacting in a garden setting. Each scene is accompanied by a caption in Dutch. The artwork's style, with its intricate details and focus on everyday life, reflects the popular genre of social realism, which was prominent in the mid-19th century.
