Editor: Here we have Justin Knowles' "WD.156.(33)ii.01". It's a striking image composed of red triangles against a white background, almost like a rhythmic pulse. What do you see in this piece? Curator: It reminds me of an electrocardiogram of the heart, those zigzags charting the inner rhythm of something vital. Knowles, bless his soul, was fascinated by systems and patterns. It whispers of a secret code waiting to be deciphered. What do you think? Editor: It’s interesting how such a simple form can evoke such complexity. Now I am thinking of it as a language! Curator: Exactly! Art's magic trick. It starts as one thing, becomes a thousand, and ends as something intensely personal.
