Ontwerp voor aankondiging en bestelkaart met pauwen 1878 - 1894

This is a design for an announcement and order card by Dutch artist Theo van Hoytema, currently housed in the Rijksmuseum. The design depicts two frames bordered by stylized peacocks. The left frame features a peacock in profile with its tail feathers spreading out, while the right features the peacock from a more overhead perspective, with its tail feathers forming a stylized design around the frame. The design exemplifies the Art Nouveau style of the late 19th Century.
