Editor: So, here we have Suzuki Harunobu's woodblock print, "Bride Riding in Palanquin." It feels so processional, but also intimate. What do you make of the expressions on the figures, or the composition overall? Curator: I think it captures the quiet drama of the everyday elevated into something ceremonial. Harunobu, he’s always doing that, isn't he? It's like he’s reminding us to find the extraordinary in the ordinary, or maybe it’s the other way around. Do you feel a sense of movement or stillness in the scene? Editor: Definitely stillness, like a moment frozen in time. That’s neat. Curator: Me too.
