"Stand" is a small, intricately-crafted table crafted by Samuel Dunlap between 1800 and 1815, currently residing in The Art Institute of Chicago. Dunlap, a furniture maker born in 1786, is known for his elegant and simple designs. The table features a square top with gently curved edges, a single turned pedestal support, and three gracefully curved legs. This piece is an excellent example of early American furniture, exemplifying the craftsmanship and design aesthetics of the period.
