"Twee staande boerinnen, eentje met een kind op haar arm" (Two standing peasant women, one with a child on her arm) is a small etching by Dutch artist Marie Lambertine Coclers (1761-1815) created sometime between 1776 and 1815. The etching, measuring just 73 mm by 51 mm, depicts two women, one holding a child, in a simple landscape setting. The work is characteristic of Coclers' focus on everyday scenes and the lives of ordinary people, often highlighting the role of women in society. The small size and delicate lines of the etching are characteristic of the artist's work, adding to the intimate and nuanced portrayal of her subjects.
