Editor: So, here we have "Plug" by Susan Rothenberg. It's this striking black and white print, really raw and energetic. It feels almost violent in its composition. What do you make of it? Curator: Violent...hmm, interesting. For me, it's more like a primal scream on paper, a release. The "plug" itself—is it a barrier, or a source? Rothenberg often explored these tensions between form and void, didn’t she? It’s like she's asking, what happens when you yank something crucial out of its socket? Editor: I see what you mean. It’s not just destruction, but a kind of...questioning? Curator: Exactly! A raw, gestural, visceral question mark. Makes you think about what *you’re* plugged into, doesn’t it? Editor: Totally! It gives a lot to reflect about. Curator: Glad it got you thinking!
