About this artwork
Editor: This is "Wooded Landscape" by Anton Kölbl. It's incredibly detailed, almost dreamlike. I’m curious; what story do you think Kölbl is trying to tell here? Curator: A story whispered by the trees themselves, perhaps? Look how Kölbl uses light and shadow, not to define, but to suggest. It's less a portrait of a forest, and more an echo of the forest's soul. It almost feels like an invitation to get lost, doesn't it? Editor: It really does! It makes me want to wander through those woods. I never thought a simple etching could evoke such a feeling. Curator: It's the beauty of suggestion. Some things are felt more deeply when they are not explicitly said. Don't you think?
