This drip-filter coffee pot was crafted by Fa. Diemont. Its presence is announced through its geometrical composition; the cylinder of the pot, and the clean lines of the handle. The handle, so reminiscent of ancient Greek amphorae, speaks volumes. Note how the coffee pot's handle mirrors the handles seen on vessels of antiquity, employed for wine, oil, or water. Even in its modern function, there is an echo of past civilizations. Such subtle echoes can be seen across time and space, how objects from the past resurface in new forms. The unconscious connection to the past is how a simple coffee pot engages with primal human desires, drawing us back to the hearth, the gathering place, and the shared comfort found in communal rituals.
