Skitser af figurer i bevægelse

Curatorial notes
Niels Larsen Stevns created these sketches of figures in motion with pencil on paper. The whole page feels like a process, like he’s letting his mind wander and his hand follow. I love how he’s got these little groups, these clusters of figures, almost like cells dividing or maybe just people hanging out. Some are even in these little thought-bubble-like circles. The lines are quick, light, not precious at all. Check out the figure in the middle, the one standing alone. It’s just a few lines, but it captures a whole mood, a kind of quiet contemplation. It reminds me a bit of Giacometti, you know? That same sense of isolation and the figure existing in space. And then, look at the scribble and little notes to the side – it's like we’re getting a peek into the artist’s mind, seeing how he’s working through ideas. It’s all about the possibility of what a line can do, what a simple gesture can convey.
