"De ongelovige Thomas" is a drawing on paper by Samuel van Hoogstraten, a Dutch painter and writer active in the 17th century. This piece, created circa 1648-1649, depicts the biblical story of Doubting Thomas, where Jesus appears to his disciples after his resurrection and allows Thomas to touch his wounds to prove his identity. The drawing is notable for its strong chiaroscuro, with the central figure of Christ bathed in a luminous light that contrasts with the darker figures surrounding him. This work is housed at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
