This untitled piece by László Moholy-Nagy is a black and white print of abstract geometric forms. I can just imagine him, back in the day, carefully carving into a block, probably linoleum, figuring out how to get these shapes *just so*. The textures are everything here, right? It’s not just a black square. Look at how it fades and bleeds around the edges. Then you’ve got these columns—one is like a field of tiny dots, and the other is all these crisp, even vertical lines. I wonder if he was thinking about buildings, or maybe even music? Moholy-Nagy was all about experimenting with new technologies and materials. You see him playing with light and space in his work, trying to push the boundaries of what art could be. It feels like he's in dialogue with other artists of his time, people like El Lissitzky or the Bauhaus crew, all trying to build a new world with art. It's a world of progress, and hope, made one careful mark at a time.
