"Vestalka" (1917) is a bronze sculpture by the Croatian artist Ivan Mestrovic. The sculpture, which stands at 125.5 x 98.5 cm, depicts a seated female figure with her hands clasped in her lap. The work is known for its simplified, geometric forms and its evocative, contemplative mood. Mestrovic is best known for his monumental sculptures and his work is considered a key part of the Modernist movement in the early 20th century.
