Curator: It’s a snapshot of a roadside inn. Think of it as Hiroshige's travel blog, but from the 1830s. Can you almost hear the porters grunting, the horses snorting? Editor: I hadn't thought of it that way. It's like a moment captured in time. Curator: Exactly! And it makes you wonder about their lives, doesn’t it? Perhaps that's why I find it so compelling.
