Ernst Ludwig Kirchner made this woodcut, *Forest Cemetery*, with ink on paper, and it's all about process. Look at the way he’s carved those trees. I love how the textures make you feel like you could reach out and touch the bark. The real magic happens in the colour. The mix of greens, yellows, and blues gives the forest a kind of eerie glow. Notice how the light carves up the scene, creating a mood that’s both inviting and unsettling. The little blue houses, or are they graves, add to the mystery. It reminds me a bit of Edvard Munch, with that same sense of psychological depth, but Kirchner’s got his own thing going on. It’s like he’s reminding us that art is a conversation, not a monologue. It's a place where ambiguity is not a bug, but a feature.
